Malware Attack
Posted by admin | Filed under Technology, Virus
I just got a warning from Firefox, Google, and Godaddy that one of my website, driftingdaddies.com was attacked by Malware…
I wasn’t sure why my site had to be attacked since I haven’t done any outstanding activities on this site lately… except one thing I can think of… I was using this ftp account for some another client and letting them have one particular folder access the other day. I think that is why this happened… I mean I don’t think my client did something to my server, but just because some other IP address/ access got to my server, Google/my FTP server kind of got skeptical about this activity even though I gave a permission through my hosting company literary.
According to Google Webmaster Tool, Malware is: “Malware is a type of software that attempts to steal your personal information or use your computer to do things that you do not intend. Malware pages are web pages containing malicious code that could be downloaded and installed on your computer without your consent. You can learn more about harmful web content including viruses and other malicious software and how to protect your computer at StopBadware.org.”
More detail at Google Webmaster Tool page >>
So this is what you need to do IF your website get attacked by Malware…
1 – Check thoroughly entire your site if you don’t see any suspicious code that you are not familiar with.
2 – Go to StopBadware.org. This site can evaluate your website if it is really infected by Malware. http://www.stopbadware.org/home/reportsearch
3 – You will see either red flag, yellow flag, or white flag. Red = your site is recognized by this site it is infected. Yellow = Their partner sites reported that your website is infected but the StopBadware.org is not recognized it yet. White = it is not currently being reported to StopBadware as bad. http://www.stopbadware.org/home/clearinghouse
4 – If your website is totally cleaned up, go to Google Webmaster Tool page > www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
5 – If you are webmaster (I think only the webmaster can solve this problem with Google…), click the website account which is infected or seems to be infected by Malware.
6 – You will see Red bar which says “This site may be distributing malware. More Details”. Click the link: “More Detail”
7 – At this page, you can request the review to Google to make thing clear and hopefully they will take the Virus Warning sign out from your website. And wait for at the most, 24 hours.
8 – As you receive some review from Google, it will tell you if your site has hosted by Malware or not.
9 – If your site still says it is infected by the virus, you should go to: http://badwarebusters.org/.
The volunteers will take a look at your site, and they will point out if they see anything suspicious. Most likely they will tell you to go to Google Webmaster Tool page though…
But it still helps since you will see all sorts of similar problem what other people have and you might find some solution for yourself from there.
Good luck whoever got this virus… I was pretty nervous since this site was for my client… but fortunately I solved it.. phew….

My iPhone app
Posted by admin | Filed under Photography
Lately, I tend to forget I have an iPod… I got tons of music in there but still I forget to take it to my work. Because my iPhone does all now. I got music, I got contact info, I got an internet connection, I got a lot of info I can search from… And I got a great app “CameraBag”. It makes all the photos I took prettier. I have a major under Photography (and Graphic Design) and used to experiment a lot of stuffs with a lot of kind of films and paper. Experiment, experiment… It was fun but got really expensive thing to study.
My professor used to say “digital camera is not real camera”. I totally understand because analog camera creates such a nice taste and color to the photo. Digital can’t beat that.
However it can’t beat the cost either…
Since I don’t do photography professionally, iPhone app does enough for me now. Just for fun.
“CameraBag” got a lot of effects such as:Helga, Mono, Magazine, LOLO, 1962, 1974, Cinema, Infrared, Fisheye etc.. It’s a great app.
I totally think iPod will be gone soon for good in near future… How sad is that.

Design / Art is always subjective…
Posted by admin | Filed under Photography
(01) (02)Design + Art gets to be always subjective… My days after I came back from Europe became super duper busy at my full time job and freelance job. Somehow, people finally remember I am here or something. I got a few deadline that I have to accomplish by end of this week. So, of course I was rushed and I had to post the brand new page I just created… I thought it looks good on color scheme, and layout wise. It’s not too bad in my personal opinion. But I knew it’s not specifically for my industry where I work for.
(I won’t say what kind of industry I work here though…) But some people thought it was weak, won’t stand out blah blah blah. Some people thought it looks great.
Honestly, I would like to ignore those negative comments because they won’t understand how short time I had to create that but I can’t and shouldn’t… Negative comments can be positive later. I hate to hear negative opinion though… Well, who does… I try to think that even though I got short period of time to create a big page, I still need to design good. Good and Fast… And if I can’t do that yet, that means I am not a good designer yet… Hard but it’s a good challenge I guess…
(01) – I took it at T in the Park in Baldo, Scotland on 07-11-09. It was a great music festival. I’ve never forget, and I would like to go back someday.
(02) – I took it at a bar it’s called “Deaf Institute” in Manchester, UK. 07-08-09. My friend and I expected to meet people there since they had a couple Universities there but unfortunately they were in summer vacation… Bummer!

Japanese Cats Cartoon
Posted by admin | Filed under Uncategorized
It’s been for so long since I post something last time.
I was gone to Euro trip for 2 weeks, and it was a blast!
I need to go back there sometimes again…
I will put some photos I took next time when I have a time…
Anywho… I just love this cartoon. I know it’s Japanese and some of you might not understand what exactly says on the cartoon, but I don’t think you really need to… It’s easy to see what’s going on there.
I always seek if this artist put her new post every single day.
She has a few cats, and she create some stories whatever happens to her cats. And also, she volunteers and helps to foster care kittens and cats who can’t find a lovely sweet home.
How sweet is that. I would like to do that someday.

Banksy
Posted by admin | Filed under Art, Street Art
I haven’t posted anything for a while… I had been busy, I had to go through a lot of things in a short period of times…
Anyway, my Europe trip is just around the corner, and can’t wait. One of the places which I am very very looking forward to is Banksy exhibition in Bristol, UK. My travel partner loves his art as well, so we are definitely going and see his magnificent artwork.
I love art, and going to see art pieces especially pop, metaphorical, philosophical art like this.

Downtown LA Artwalk (Main+5th)
Posted by admin | Filed under Art, Color
My friends and I went to Downtown LA Artwalk at Main st. and 5th Ave. This is an once-a-month event. There are a lot of galleries open until 9PM, and show their artwork such as painting, photography, graphic art, jewelry etc… They were all interesting, and I love to feel the art environment to make myself inspire more.
Tonight, I found this one beautiful painting I fell in love with. Although of course, it was very expensive that I could not afford….
Dustin Otterbach: this is the one I really wanted. But where am I going to hang? So, I will save some money, and will wait until I’ll move out to a next beautiful home.

And this: Brooke Benson Designs – Beautiful Jewerly

I have to watch what I spend for these days. So I didn’t buy any. Yeay, good job Yuks!
